Account Types are used when creating a new account. For example: Individual, Family, Corporate, Vendor.
On the administration
menu, select Lookups,
select Accounts, and then click
Account Types.
The Account Types page displays.
Do one of the following:
Click Add new item....
Click the Edit button next to the account type you want to change.
Select the Active check-box to make the account type available , or clear the check-box to make the type inactive.
In the Description box, type the descriptive name for the account type.
Click the Save
and Return
button to save the changes and return to the Account Types list.
On the administration menu, select Lookups, select Accounts, and then click Account Types.
Click the Edit button next to the account type you want to delete.
Click the Delete button.
Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
NOTE: You cannot delete an account type if it is currently assigned to an account.
